Live a Mile Above Sea Level
|
The capital and the most populated city in the Colorado, Denver is called 'The Mile-High City' because its official elevation is exactly one mile above sea level. Denver is located just east of the Front Range of the Southern Rocky Mountains, nad because of that location, is probably most famous becuase of it's 28 major resort areas are found in the nearby Rocky Mountains offering world-class skiing, hiking, rafting, and camping, plus breathtaking scenic wonders. But the skiing isn't the only thing making Denver real estate desirable.
Denver's best kept secret is the weather. This crisp, cool air results in very moderate weather with summer temperatures in the uper 80's and winter days are usually dry and sunny. Denver usually has over 300 sunny days per year. Some of the best places to live in Denver are in the north metro area, where you can find communities that offer all of the amenities of small-town living, with downtown Denver shopping and cultural attractions are less than 30 minutes away.
